- Answer Yes, I bought the external hard drive that plugs into the back, that will play CD or DVD. I bought the Apple product but there are other ones offered by other manufacturers. I had read where the Apple one was better made and worked better with the Mac

- Answer I'm pretty sure the SuperDrive draws more power than the Lightning port on your older iPad can handle. That was the case when I tried plugging the drive into my iPad Mini 4 using a USB-to-Lightning adapter.

- Answer Yes. This drive is supported in Ventura MacOS on the current iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Studio, Mac Pro and MacBook/MacBook Pro. It comes with a built in USB-A cable, so you will need a USB-C adapter on newer Macs with only Thunderbolt / USB-C ports.

- Answer Apple’s website says compatible with Mac models 2008 and later that do not have a built in optical drive. Models with USB-C ports require a USC-C to USB adapter

- Answer Not sure exactly what you’re asking here, but this is only an external disk drive for an Apple laptop that doesn’t have one. It connects via USB to read disks, but doesn’t have a screen or speakers to play any media. Hope that helps!

- Answer check your mac OS it may need upgrading or a file is missing as well as the driver!

- Answer Yes, it should have no problem. I have never known an Apple super drive that didn't work with any Mac. They worked with my old G5 iMac from back in the day.

- Answer Actually I figured out how to do it. There is a software called handbrake and they can convert DVD HomeMovies to transfer to your computer. I took the information from the DVDs and now they’re in my photos on my iMac
