That is exactly what I am going to do. I chose Apple TV because I have had a good experience with the previous generation. I have not had mush luck with sticks, but that does not mean they are not getting better, like ROKU and Amazon. So, far the 4K Apple TV proves gorgeous pictures. Go with Apple, if you can stand the price. I also got the 64 to avoid any buffering.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My APPLE TV is connected to my YAMAHA stereo receiver and not my TV. I also have a ROKU connected to a separate YAMAHA receiver in another room. Of course the APPLE is more expensive. I also have (and use) DIRECTTVNOW on both of them. It's pretty quick using my YAMMYS for access. Both of my receivers are old but have hdmi ports. No bad issues have occurred using this method. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We tried a bunch before moving all the TVs in our house to same platform and everything seems to run smoother on the AppleTV. Our second place contender was Roku, but with all the apple devices in our house, this just works best.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works great for that! Super fast with proper internet speed. Much advanced over previous Apple TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Apple TV has direct TV now. From my experience that service is kind of half baked. But with any other service like hbonow or Netflix the Apple TV is a good option.
