• A:Answer The hub is the escape goat to not have to buy the arlo monthly package for storage If you Ever record data and it Has to go to the police, it needs to be on a Sim card which goes in the back of the hub and stores the data longer than 1 week.

Its range limitation depends on the wireless range of the router and the obstructions between their connection. If connected to an Arlo base station/SmartHub, you can place the camera maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the SmartHub or base station. The maximum line-of-sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and base station. ^RM

Q: QuestionI have a essential wire free spotlight camera if after the 3 month trial and I choose NO PLAN will I still go back 7 days of recording instead of 30

• A:Answer No, my 3 month trial just ended. I’ve learned that my options are either sign up for cloud service (for I believe $3/mo for one camera or $10/mo for up to four) or use a usb memory stick for local storage in my Arlo hub. Local storage only records, but to view I have to eject & plug into my computer. No remote viewing of a recording. However I will still get alerts and can view live.

• A:Answer Yes, but I would suggest checking your internet, and bandwidth connection at home to make sure you can have this many cameras connected to your home network. I have two cameras in two different locations so far, and I am not experiencing any issues.

• A:Answer I've had 60 feet during the daylight with clear enough video to get license plate numbers. At night, I use IR and can make out shapes. I do not use spotlights because of my neighborhood, but I still get 50 feet of recorded area. With plain IR night vision, I have recorded critters such as armadillos, skunks, raccoons, possums, and a dog at night time, with clear identity out to 40 feet. Across my one area during daylight, I can record vehicles at about 150 feet.

Q: QuestionDoes the essential camera have a charger that you can leave plugged in outside 24/7? I see a charger online but nobody has any stock plus it doesn't say if it can be left plugged in all the time. I don't want to use a solar charger.
