What Comcast told you is correct. This is an older model that does not support the Gig speed service tiers. If you require a modem that has digital voice ports, the T25 will support up to 1 Gbps. If you do not require digital voice, the S33 cable modem and the G36 Wi-Fi cable modem are capable of 1.2 Gbps. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerMine didn’t. Optimum told me it wasn’t compatible and I need to return mine to get a different one. You can call optimum and tell them you want to know which models are compatible with your service and they’ll give you a list.
