A:AnswerYou would not need the cable modem you already have if you buy this device. If you really like that cable modem you would be better off buying a wireless router with AC technology. It would probably be less expensive than this unit. However, if you want to eliminate the clutter of two devices this is a good solution.
A:AnswerIt should. If you look at the package, it has a list of all of the providers that it will work with. The best way to know for sure is to call your provider and ask, or go to a store and talk to an associate.
A:AnswerThe power supply for this Arris - SURFboard AC1600 Dual-Band Router/Modem was made by Asian Power Device, Inc. This item was purchased at Best Buy, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
A:AnswerTry unplugging it from the wall for 30 seconds to reset it. Any time you make a new cable connection you have to reset it that way. Also try using the Arris online site as well to refine your actual use of the modem. All info is in the package on that. If resetting it doesn't work it could be defective.
A:AnswerYes it does; this is way better than any other modem/router that I have tried. I like that it has concurrent 2.5 & 5.0 connections to the modem.
