QuestionWhat firmware version do these devices come with now? Has the firmware update issue with Xfinity been resolved? I read online that Xfinity has had problems with updating firmware (they don’t), which could affect the device’s performance.

- Answer yes My outdoor porch light camera is a Kuna 2018 model and it runs off Wi-Fi and the light switch. The Router allows it to stay online and I can access it from my phone

QuestionIs this item compatible with spectrum internet? I ask because in their modem/router combo’s compatibility page, the g36 does not appear but the g34 does. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

- Answer Yes. The G36 is compatible with spectrum. The G34 is hard wired (ethernet cable only) and the G36 has wifi built in. I did have a hard time getting wifi to function, however tech support did resolve the issue. Streaming with this modem is fantastic.

- Answer No. The protocol is VOIP. (voice over internet protocol) Your phone conversation is sent over the internet not telephone line.
