QuestionWhy won't my laptop play my cd's?It sounds like it is working but I see no window or any sound from my cd. Do I need to download something?

- Answer I called support and they had me try a few things and I couldn't get anything from the DVD or CD that I had inserted. Instead of wasting time to take it back to Best Buy I just downloaded VLC media. Everything works fine now.

- Answer It was not designed for gaming but it should be able to play games that don't require highl-accelerated graphics and high-speed processor.

QuestionCannot Open CD DriveIs there a way to open the CD drive? It's just a plastic part on the right side of the laptop that doesn't have an eject button. Is it correctly advertised? Thanks!

- Answer I was able to download and play a major, ram and memory eating game like World of Warcraft on mine with little to no lag, I kept it on Low or Fair quality though just to keep it from over heating though.

QuestionnoiseI purchased this computer a few days ago. I'm not that savvy when it comes to computers and was wondering if it is normal for a new computer to constantly be making noise? It's not too loud, but it's noticeable.

- Answer What kind of noise are you talking about? It is normal to hear the fan, but it is VERY quiet on mine. You may have a cd in the drive that is spinning, which makes a lot of noise. If so, take it out. If it is making a noise constantly and it is not the CD/DVD drive, you may want to bring it in to the store and have them look at it.

- Answer This laptop is meant for basic everyday use. You'll be able to watch high-end movies/videos and play general computer games fine, but I would not expect much more than that.

QuestionAC cord always plugged inI have an old laptop that needs to plugged in at all times because the battery is very weak, can you keep this Asus plugged in at all times or do you have to unplug it when the battery charges fully?

- Answer I keep mine plugged in all the time and it just says it is not charging and running at 97% charge all the time. When unplugged, the battery life seems good. I hope this answered your question.

QuestionDoes the adapter cover 220v ?I will buy this laptop for my mom in Korea. In Korea, we use 220V, not 110v like America. Question is that is the adapter dual voltage that covers up to 220V ? Usually, Apple devices' adapters cover 100~240v. I wonder if this product is the same like apple.

- Answer Yes it works on 220 v, I bought for my uncle and took it to Argentina which has 220 and no problem!
