No the hard drive that comes with it is HDD like everyone else says. If you wanna put a SSD in it, I made a guide on how to do so when I went in and replaced my own. The link will [hopefully] pop up below https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/6lpxpk/asus_q304ua_laptop_hard_drive_replacement/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the hard drive that is installed by the factory in the Asus Q304UA is NOT a "solid state drive" (SSD). It is a 5,400RPM "regular" hard drive. ALL electronic components give off heat; this includes SSDs. However, since there are NO MOVING PARTS in an SSD, they give off LESS heat than a "regular" hard drive with spinning platters and actuating arms and spindles. As a result, SSDs run quieter, cooler, and extend battery life.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it does not have a solid state hard drive. I wanted a larger hard drive, and that is why I purchased this laptop.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it is regular HDD, they don't give off quite as much heat, are much quieter, and most importantly, speed up a computer at least 10x or more...I put one in this and boot up time is 2 seconds
