There are much better choices for video editing. For starters, the Core i5 processor is a DUAL core processor; a QUAD core processor will serve you better for video editing. Even though the Asus Q304UA has a 1TB hard drive, it spins rather slowly (relative) at 5,400RPM (likely to prolong battery life) and is a poor choice for real-time rendering and transcoding. You'd be better off with a Core i7 QUAD core computer with as large an SSD as you can afford. Having said all that, this is still a very nice laptop; just not at the head of the pack for what you're intending.
