• A:Answer B&H has preorders set for tomorrow, February 18th which is one week less than the original February 25th. I would suspect Best Buy to have a similar preorder date. The Ally X's preorders were ~2 weeks out on Best Buy if I remember correctly, so early March release date is what I'd expect.

Q: QuestionHey I've been researching this thing the best I can from what I've gathered it has the readeon 8060s which is entry level? everything i see compares it to the rtx 4070 thus the 4070 must be entry level or is amd claims of the igpu performance false?

• A:Answer Its an RDNA3.5 40CU iGPU with a relatively low TDP limit sharing up to 120W. It'll likely perform comparably to a desktop RX 7600 because of that. CPU wise, its effectively a TDP limited 9950x with quad channel 8000MT/sec RAM. Zen5 does great at low TDPs but still wants ~40W per CCD for optimal core clock boosting. In this device specifically, it appears to have an 80W TDP limit which is about middle of the 45-120W range its capable of. That will be the limitation on the Max+ 395. Doesn't mean it won't perform amazingly, just more of a limitation than I was hoping as a USB4 eGPU host.
