QuestionI have an ASUS TUF gaming laptop that does not have a DisplayPort. I try to use an HDMI adapter but am still disconnected from the monitor. Is there any way to fix this or will i need to return it?

- Answer If the monitor doesn't show up any video, please verify if the HDMI port is working properly, you are using known good video cable and the correct input source from monitor and output source from the laptop display properties was selected correctly. Check the AC adapter was properly connected from the unit to a working surge protector or AC outlet and the power button is being pressed all the way down to trigger a power on signal.

- Answer Yes, HDMI 2.1 is backward compatible with HDMI 2.0, so it should work with the Samsung Odyssey G7's HDMI 2.0 port. HDMI cables are backward compatible with previous generations of HDMI connectors, so an HDMI 2.0 cable will work with HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4, and HDMI 1.2 ports. However, cables will work with existing devices without most of HDMI 2.1's advanced features.

- Answer Has to be connected to a PC or Laptop, Game Console, etc. You will need a HDMI or Display Port cable, but this monitor comes with a HDMI Cord and all the cables, has a great display and good colors.

QuestionI bought this monitor and on the box it says 165hz but when i go to display settings it only lets me get up to 144hz.

- Answer Its probably due to the hdmi cable, as technology gets more newer, so does the cable, if you really want that 165hz, get a display cable.

QuestionHello, I just purchased an Asus Tuf A16 and it has no display port. If I hook this monitor up via HDMI will I get 165 HZ, or does this monitor only push 165 HZ connected via a display port. My laptop native is 165 HZ. Thanks, Robert H.

- Answer In order to get the 165 HZ you will need to use display port. For my A16 is purchased a USB C to Display Port and hooked it up. Also make sure you have overclocking turned on in the monitors settings to reach as well.
