The screen is not crisp. I would almost describe it like an older desktop monitor, where everything is slightly fuzzy around the edges and the text on some windows/menus shows up really out of focus. I only use this laptop for work and the sound hasn't been an issue for video calls. However, the speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, so there's a big difference if it's on a hard surface like a desk or soft surface like your lap.
