- Answer In regards to the other answer you received, you can choose how many rings before the answering machine picks up. Up to 6 rings. I read that in other previous reviews. I don't have this phone but will buy it when I finish reading the reviews. Sounds like a good phone. Sorry I can't give you info for your actual question.

QuestionDo I have to have landline service, or can I just have the system work through the cell phone? I want to drop landline service, but I don't want to carry my cell from room to room and I like to use a handset.

- Answer The AT&T 72000 series is all digital (DECT 6.0) as are most modern cordless phones. I haven't seen an analog cordless phone in years.

- Answer Good question. You want to spoof the outgoing Caller ID. I don't believe you can. The Caller ID information is generated by the phone company. The spoofers can do it but I believe they are using some kind of unauthorized hardware. This is a good question for AT&T Tech Support at their website (https://telephones.att.com) or call 1 (800) 222-3111 (in Canada, dial 1 (866) 288-4268).

- Answer Looking at the manual, iOS is only supported for remote voice control (i.e., Siri). The Bluetooth section (page 17) on connection via Bluetooth only mentions Android phones.
