The preferred input connector type is dual RCA female jacks, a single 3.5mm stereo jack could be used if you attach an adapter cable to the turntables provided dual RCA male plugs cable.

- Answer Ground isn't required to use this turntable. I have a pair of powered speakers hooked up to this without ground, and I just left the ground lead disconnected at both ends of the RCA cable.
