• Remove the plastic cover and check if the belt is broken. If the belt is intact some carpet threads are prolly jammed where the brushes meet the arms. If not follow the instructions to rest the internal breaker

• I would check to make sure the brush is not bound up with debris. If it is clear, then check the belt.
