- Answer No you would have to turn it off to reset the unit so that you could select a single brew size. these buttons are turned off and unavailable when in pot brew mode. Good question and so I actually had to try it for you to see what would happen as you usually are either having a pot of coffee or a cup but not both lol In pot mode the single serving buttons / mode is not available unless you cycle the power which then the single serving mode is available but the warmer plate will be turned off.

QuestionDoes carafe brewing empty the reservoir?Unlike the K-cup/single side with its volume settings, will carafe brewing completely empty the reservoir as most carafe-brewers do? With the reservoir "clearly marked", again - as most are, I'm not concerned about accuracy or filling it. I only wanted to be aware if emptying its full 60oz reservoir into a "12cup" ~ 50oz carafe should be avoided. Or does this carafe hold 60oz?

- Answer Filling the Carafe side does empty the reservoir. However, the carafe does hold 60 ounces and will not overflow. So long as you do not fill the reservoir over the 'max' line, you won't have to worry about that.

- Answer Even if you found a thermal carafe that would work thermal carafe's are not designed to be used with a warmer plate and so it would not work out and probably ruin the carafe or burn up the plate or both.

QuestionWater reservoir leaking?Are you supposed to be able to keep the water reservoir full of water? I just received mine, set it up,filling the reservoir to the max line, then made a single cup of coffee thinking I would use the rest of the water in the morning. Well, it leaked all over my counter! It seems like the water is always dripping so maybe you are only supposed to put the amount of water you are going to use at one time in it? If that's the case, I'm really disappointed!

- Answer We had a problem with leaking initially. We realized we hadn't seated the reservoir in correctly - you might want to try that. We haven't had a problem since.

- Answer No this coffee maker has no clock and no timer feature. But overall this coffee maker has far exceeded my expectations in quality as well as the taste of coffee brewed. But it does make a single serving cup of Joe in 2 mins flat so you can have a cup right outta bed while waiting for that first pot to brew!!

QuestionMachine will not heat water or force water thru pod. Water trickles and stops then starts again but it doesn't make coffee, just tinted water. Machine was just cleaned a few days ago and was working fine.

QuestionI have had this less than two years but have no idea where the receipt is so not sure exactly how long. The coffee is not being heated on the kcup side. Just runs cold water through. It brews hot on the carafe side. Any suggestions?

- Answer Thank you for your question, Dave. This model has one reservoir that provides water to both the full carafe and single serve sides. When brewing a single serve, the unit will draw as much water as selected from the reservoir. When brewing a full carafe, the unit will use all the water in the reservoir.

- Answer The pot will only fill to the level of water you place in the reservoir. Want 6 cups of coffee? Put 6 cups on the reservoir. No leaking either!

QuestionI just cleaned the machine and ran a couple of carafe pots full of water to rinse per instructions. However, after filling the water dispenser again, the 20oz cup option will not work to rinse that part. The pot makes a "rubbing" type noise..

- Answer Mine is still new and I haven't cleaned it but according to the book and my daughter who has one the pot will flash at you. You mix vinegar and water and run it in the coffee pot side with the filter and then run several rinses. Then run the same type mixture in 20 oz cup and run several rinses in it.
