Q: QuestionDo we need to pay a subscription to be able to use the cameras?

• A:Answer There is a subscription for our cloud storage, but customers are not required to use it. Another storage option is local storage, activated by plugging a USB flash drive into a Sync Module 2 (or a Micro SD card into a Sync Module XR). Local storage has no recurring fee to use the feature. Either of these storage options will let you view clips remotely from your phone. Without a storage system for your clips your system will be able to detect motion, notify you of the motion, and live view. Here's what it does: Essential Functions: Connects cameras to Wi-Fi: Acts as the bridge between your cameras and home network/internet Stores video clips locally: Includes built-in storage so you can save recordings without a subscription Manages multiple cameras: Controls and coordinates up to 10 Blink cameras from one module Enables remote access: Allows you to view live feeds and recordings through the Blink app from anywhere Powers camera features: Enables motion detection alerts, two-way audio, and cloud storage options Why You Need It: Without the Sync Module, your Blink cameras can't: Connect to the internet or your phone Send you motion alerts Save or upload video clips Be viewed remotely The Good News: Since your bundle includes the Sync Module Core, you're all set! You won't need to buy anything else to get started. Q: QuestionSubscription service says $3 mo to one device. I assume that means one camera, so each add camera is another $3 on basic plan. Also micro storage can be used on this not just the XR version? How about a USB stick? Will camera pick up objects 100ft away?

• A:Answer The Basic plan covers one device, while the Plus plan ($10/month) covers the entire account no matter how many devices there are. Only the 'Blink Sync Module 2' is able to utilize a USB drive for Local Storage. Our devices are tested and rated to accurately detect motion up to 20' away. With higher sensitivity settings things further than 20' may be picked up, however they are not rated to.

Q: QuestionCan these camera hold up in the rain and snow?

• A:Answer Hi Tavo! The Blink Outdoor 4 is IP65 rated, meaning that it's completely dust tight and resists jets of water. Specifically, "Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm (0.25 in)) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects." So you won't have any issues with the average rain storm or snow fall with the Outdoor 4! They're also rated to function from -4 to 113 Fahrenheit , though extremely cold temperatures might have an impact on the battery life. • A:Answer It will work on a 5G band wifi,but it will adjust to the minimum required. The subscription is given for 30 days upon setup,and u will have the option to purchase after the 30 days are up,and its only $10 for all the features and $3 for the basic features!

Q: QuestionI live in a condo with a garage upstairs. I want security coverage of my garage. I have two questions: can I mount the camera to a tree using the screws? and would WiFi in my condo work to operate the camera upstairs, or is that a WiFi network question

• A:Answer Hello AMD and thank you for your question! As long as the tree can withstand the weight and screws from the device, I do not see an issue with mounting it there. Additionally, as long as you can connect the device to a consistent 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network via the Sync Module, it can be placed wherever you need. Hope this helps! Have a great day!

• A:Answer Due to region locking, a device will only be guaranteed to work in the country where it was purchased. Once the system is setup, you may travel anywhere in the world and will be able to view that existing system through your app, you just cannot necessarily unplug the system and take it with you to that foreign company, but you may be there and view the system back home remotely.
