- Answer Hi Karen, The Sync Module 2 allows you to use the local storage feature via a USB Flash drive and can save videos from your Blink Mini, Indoor, Outdoor and Video Doorbell!

QuestionIf I buy the Blink video doorbell with the Sync Module 2 then it will record video without a subscription, correct? Will the Sync 2 also capture video from another Blink outdoor camera?

- Answer Hi there, The sync module itself does not provide storage, but if you plug a USB flash drive into it then clips will get stored there. That will also work for the outdoor cameras. If you don't use a Subscription for cloud storage or a USB for local storage you won't be able to record videos with either device.

- Answer You need the Blink app and it must be armed to hear the alarm on your phone. I have an iPhone and my partner had a android, it works on both.

- Answer The Blink video Doorbell is weather resistant to rain, dust, cold and heat, within typical limits. The doorbell cannot be immersed in water, and if you are not using screws to mount it, you must place waterpoof tape over the mounting holes in the backplate.

- Answer There is no physical chime. However, the Blink app on a smart phone will play a chime sound when the doorbell is pressed and allow you to engage in 2way communication. Also, if you have Echo devices, the Alexa app can be configured to announce when a doorbell is pressed.
