Here is the breakdown of how "shared" access works on a Blink account: 1. The Shared Login Method To give a family member or partner access, they must download the Blink app and sign in with your email and password. Verification: When they sign in for the first time, Blink will send a multi-factor authentication (MFA) code to the primary account holder's phone or email. You will need to give them that code to authorize their device. Trust Device: Once they enter the code, they can select "Trust this device" so they don't have to ask you for a code every time they open the app. 2. Multi-Client Live View As of 2026, Blink supports Multi-Client Live View. This means up to five people logged into the same account can view a live stream from the same camera simultaneously. • A:Answer Hi SupernaturalWelcome! The Blink Video Doorbell operates completely independently from your cable provider. While the doorbell does require a high-speed internet connection (which could be provided by cable, DSL, or fiber), it doesn't connect to or depend on any cable TV service or cable provider equipment. The doorbell simply needs a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps to function. Once connected to your home Wi-Fi, it communicates directly with your smartphone or tablet through the Blink app, sending video and notifications over your internet connection. You can set it up as either a battery-powered unit or wire it to your existing doorbell system (if you have 16-24 volts AC), but either way, it works entirely through your Wi-Fi network without any involvement from your cable provider.
