Q: QuestionCan you mount using gorilla glue tape
Asked by Shelby.
- A:Answer Hello Shelby! The Doorbell is quite light and could likely be held up by strong, weather-resistant mounting tape, just be sure to only tape the frame the doorbell mounts into and not the doorbell itself or you could accidentally cover the battery compartment and be stuck with a difficult mess when it comes time to change the batteries! I hope this answers your question and I hope you have a great day!

Q: QuestionIs local storage available?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Great question that I would love to give you some information on. The Sync Module Core is not capable of storing footage locally. If you want to store clips locally without paying a monthly subscription, you will need to use either the Sync Module 2 (which features a USB slot for a flash drive) or the Sync Module XR (which has a microSD card slot). You can explore and manage these storage options directly through the Blink Storage Options support.

Q: Questioncan more than one person be on the blink account
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hello! The short answer is yes, but Blink handles this differently than many other security systems. Unlike apps that let you "invite" a guest with their own email address, Blink currently requires everyone to log in using the same master credentials. Here is the breakdown of how "shared" access works on a Blink account: 1. The Shared Login Method To give a family member or partner access, they must download the Blink app and sign in with your email and password. Verification: When they sign in for the first time, Blink will send a multi-factor authentication (MFA) code to the primary account holder's phone or email. You will need to give them that code to authorize their device. Trust Device: Once they enter the code, they can select "Trust this device" so they don't have to ask you for a code every time they open the app. 2. Multi-Client Live View As of 2026, Blink supports Multi-Client Live View. This means up to five people logged into the same account can view a live stream from the same camera simultaneously. This is great for households where multiple people might want to see who is at the door at the same time. I hope that this helps!

Asked by curious.
- A:Answer Hi Curious! Yes, you can wire your existing doorbell to a new Blink Video Doorbell for continuous power and to make your indoor chime ring, provided your current doorbell system provides 16-24 VAC and you follow Blink's setup instructions, which involve removing the old doorbell, connecting wires to the Blink's backplate, and configuring the chime type in the app. I hope this answers your question!

Q: QuestionHow does it attach to vinyl siding? Do I need to buy an additional thing to make it work?
Asked by KathleenG.
- A:Answer I recently purchased some and screwed them in my vinyl using the bracket and screws that came in the box with the camera. I do however recommend putting a little silicon around the bracket just to keep any water or moisture from getting behind your vinyl

Q: QuestionI have a Blink doorbell system now. Not used in a few years, and put new batteries in recently. Picture too blurry to see. Can I get new doorbell and hook it up to the cameras that came with the one I have?
Asked by Doorbell.
- A:Answer Hi there! The Blink Video Doorbell will work just fine with an older Blink system, as long as that system already has a Sync Module. This new version of the Blink Video Doorbell features clearer video up to 1440p, as well as a 150 degree head-to-toe viewing angle. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!

Q: QuestionDo I have to connect the doorbell to my cable or is it independent from my cable provider?
Asked by SupernaturalWelcome.
This question was asked about the related product: Blink - Video Doorbell - Head-to-toe HD view, two-year battery, simple setup, Sync Module Core included - Black
- A:Answer Hi SupernaturalWelcome! The Blink Video Doorbell operates completely independently from your cable provider. While the doorbell does require a high-speed internet connection (which could be provided by cable, DSL, or fiber), it doesn't connect to or depend on any cable TV service or cable provider equipment. The doorbell simply needs a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with a minimum upload speed of 2 Mbps to function. Once connected to your home Wi-Fi, it communicates directly with your smartphone or tablet through the Blink app, sending video and notifications over your internet connection. You can set it up as either a battery-powered unit or wire it to your existing doorbell system (if you have 16-24 volts AC), but either way, it works entirely through your Wi-Fi network without any involvement from your cable provider. Hope this helps and have a great day!
