A:Answer BBShopper, we just purchased this dishwasher a little over a month ago. Before purchasing my husband watched numerous reviews on this dishwasher and all the reviews say that it does not dry all of your dishes completely as it uses the temperature of the water to create steam to dry the dishes in addition to the small heater in the dishwasher. Plastic dishes do not dry as well as glass, stoneware, silverware, or anything metal. Make sure you read the manual, check the temperature setting on your water heater, and most importantly use a good rinse aid and good dish detergent. We use the Finish Quantum dish detergent packets and rinse aid (that was given as samples). I use the Auto setting. (This dishwasher will tell you when you are low or out of rinse aid. I did notice that when it ran out of rinse aid, the dishes did not dry as well.) You might want to try a load on Auto and use the Extra Dry setting. I have not had a load that was "soaking wet" but did have a few of the plastic Rubbermaid containers or Tupperware bowls have a small amount of water on the rims where water can collect. For these items, I placed them on a towel to finish drying on the counter and within a half an hour they were completely dry. We live in the country, have well water and do not have a water softener. I was concerned that the dishwasher wouldn't clean well (since our last dishwasher never cleaned all of the dishes and left spots on all of them). Even though this dishwasher does not completely dry some types of the dishes, the excellent cleaning and quietness of the dishwasher makes this dishwasher a winner for me.
