• A:Answer Hi Mike, the Amplifier isn't waterproof/resistant. we'd recommend keeping this indoors and route the cables out to the outdoor speakers.

Q: QuestionCan I bi-wire a set of speakers with this amp?

• A:Answer The Bose Music Amplifier isn't specifically designed for bi-wire configurations, so unfortunately, we can't guarantee that is compatible for such a set-up. The amplifier however features 2 sets of outputs for 2 different sets of speakers. These are labelled A and B, and each set of outputs contains 4 cable connections for the plus and minus of the Left and Right channels.

Q: QuestionHey there! I plan to buy the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar along with the Bose Bass Module 700. Can I add the Bose Amplifier to power these and if so, will the Bose amplifier improve their performance? Please explain how! Thank you!

• A:Answer The Bose Amplifier can be added to your home setup via the Bose app. However, we don't recommend using the Bose Amplifier to power your Smart Ultra Soundbar / Bass Module 700, as the soundbar itself is intended for, and will be sufficient for, this purpose. Instead, the Bose Amplifier should be connected to some compatible non-powered speakers, or via the red/white RCA "Line Out" ports. You are welcome to purchase a second Bass Module 700 as well, connecting it to the "Bass" port of your Bose Music Amplifier.

Q: QuestionWhat can I connect to the Line in of the Bose Music Amplifier? I am trying to connect a S1 pro plus in order to set a karaoke where the voice audio will be handled in the S1 pro plus only, is there a better way to do this?

• A:Answer The LINE IN ports are only intended for if you're using more than one Bose Music Amplifier. On the supplemental amplifier, connect the incoming white (RCA) connector to the white LINE IN port and the incoming red connector to the red LINE IN port.

Q: QuestionCan this system support the 791 In-ceiling Speakers II AND the 251® environmental speakers together? I mean, can I install ceiling and wall Bose speakers and listen at the same time

• A:Answer At a rating of 10-200 W per channel, the 251 speakers will be fine. However, the 791 II speakers are only rated 10-100 W per channel, so there is not the same compatibility.

Q: QuestionI want to connect 2 sets of wired speakers to this amp. One set of speakers is 8 ohms and the other set is 6 ohms. I know Bose "recommends" a minimum of 8 ohms, however will a set of 8 ohm and 6 ohm speakers work? What is the concern with this pairing?

• A:Answer You are welcome to try a set of 8-ohm and a set of 6-ohm speakers. However, please be advised that - depending on the volume you use your speakers at - if the speaker impedance is too low, the amplifier might strain to deliver its usual performance, leading to distortion or damage.

Q: QuestionCan the digital(optical) and analog(AV) audio play together? I am planning to connect TV optical and karaoke analog. Will the audio come out together? Will this be good to use as karaoke setup? Thanks

• A:Answer Hi Kristoff, good question. I wouldn't recommend playing two audio streams (one digital, one analog) at the same time. Depending on which karaoke system you have, it would be better to connect the karaoke system to your Bose Music Amplifier via the analog inputs, and just play the music that way. You can then connect the video portion of your karaoke system to one of your TV inputs. For further assistance, please contact Bose's support team, so we can take a closer look at your karaoke equipment and see how best to set it up with your Music Amplifier.

Q: QuestionDoes this amp work with 901 speaker system equalizer?

• A:Answer The Bose Music Amplifier outputs 125W per channel minimum in 8 ohms. This is within the range of support wattage for the 901 Speakers. Please not however the Amp may not have all the required connections for the 901 speakers, as the Amp only has speaker outputs, and no input connections for the equalizer to connect to.

Q: QuestionI understand you can run 2 sets of speakers for 2 zones each playing a different source but can I control the volume of each zone independently from the app or would I need to purchase a separate amp for each room/zone to control volume independently?

• A:Answer When 2 sets of speakers are connected, it isn't possible to have different music coming out of each set, or to control the volume independently. Each Bose Music Amplifier is considered a single zone in this respect.

• A:Answer The Bose Music Amplifier can simultaneously run up to two pairs of passive speakers. This includes bookshelf, floor-standing, in-ceiling, in-wall, or outdoor — and can be either Bose or non-Bose speakers. They can also connect via traditional speaker wires. Any speaker rated at 4 ohms or higher is compatible. When running two pairs of speakers, we recommend using speakers rated no less than 8 ohms.

• A:Answer Hi. The Bose 901 Speakers are active speakers and therefore will not work with the Bose Music Amplifier. The Bose Music Amplifier also works with passive speakers from other manufacturers that have a minimum of 4 ohms impedance.
