QuestionSoundbar connected to TV using optical cable(no HDMI ARC connection). Also connected Panasonic Blueray player to soundbar using HDMI in connection, no sound comes out when I play a DVD. HDMI In Direct Audio is turned on in the APP.

- Answer Connect the HDMI from the blue ray to the tv. Use the HDMI high speed cable that came with the Bose to connect from the tv to the Bose via the ARC.

QuestionI have the sound touch 130. Very impressive unit! My living room is huge and i still have no need to turn it up past about 75%! Truly amazing! I would like to know if this new 300 model will have the same sound??? Is it as loud as the sound touch130 is?

- Answer Yes! The soundbar 300 is louder and clearer than the 130. Its a step up. I highly recommend it. I love mine. Bose makes a great product.

Questioncan this sound bar receive an RF signal, even thought the sound bar is set behind the tv?

- Answer Hi, The SoundTouch 300 doesn't utilize an RF signal. The uses an infrared signal, and the soundbar uses WIFI. It still should be ok behind the tv, as long as the soundbar is still visible behind the tv stand. Best Regards. Tony-Bose Support

QuestionWill I sacrifice performance if I go via optical cable instead of HDMI arc? My tv has HDMI slots available, but I don't believe any of them support the "ARC" feature. Will I still experience all the benefits of the soundbar via optical cable?

- Answer Hi there MARITOG91, The simplest way to connect The SoundTouch 300 is via an HDMI cable to your TV. If your TV does not have an HDMI connection, then you should connect the system to the TV using the optical cable. It will not affect the audio performance. Hope that helps! Thanks.

Yes, both the Acoustimass 300 wireless bass module and Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers are optional add-ons for the SoundTouch 300 soundbar. - Answer Just buy the sound bar and matching wireless bass - forget the rear (surround sound) speakers. Still plenty of sound to fill the room.

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry. We don't recommend enclosing the SoundTouch 300 soundbar, especially in the front or on the sides. Sound does emit from the sides of the soundbar, and is especially important in order for the PhaseGuide Technology to work properly. PhaseGuide is the technology that makes you believe you’re hearing sounds where there are no speakers. We hope this helps!

- Answer I just purchased the sound bar yesterday and had the same problem and while I can not remember the exact steps just call 1-800-COMCAST and a tech will talk you thru the steps.

- Answer Yes. If your TV has in HDMI ARC compatible port, hook up an HDMI cable between the ARC Port on your TV and the ARC port on the sound bar.

- Answer I have not had my soundbar and sub updated since purchasing being I have only had my system for a couple weeks but have not had any issues and am extremely happy with my purchase of this Bose equipment. So far it has been well worth the price. The surround speakers are in my future.
