- Answer Short answer - no. Stainless steel racks. Enamel coated pan and sidewalks. Easy clean surfaces. So far have not found a problem cleaning. Recommend coating pan with cooking spray prior to use. Easy cleanup afterwards.

- Answer The BOV900BSS Smart Oven Air will fit standard 9" x 13" baking pans, 12-cup muffin trays, and 9 slices of toast. The BOV800XL, BOV810BSS, and BOV845BSS fit standard ¼ sheet trays, ¼ sheet-sized accessories with no side handle, 9" x 13" baking tins with no side handles. - Answer The answer to this question will vary depending on the food item and the same rules apply to this oven as with a conventional size oven. Cooking frozen foods can be tricky if there are no instructions as foods can cook on the outside too quickly and burn if the temperature is too high. For packaged items I usually follow the directions with the exception of reducing the temperature setting by 5 to 10 degrees if I am using the convection option. The reason for this is the convection feature distributes heat more evenly in the oven helping food cook more evenly and often a little more quickly. For foods that aren't pre-packaged and have no instructions for cooking or re-heating, I would recommend setting the oven to 350 degrees with the convection option turned on and simply check the food every 5 to 10 minutes.

QuestionDoes anyone know the depth WITHOUT the handle? The specs say 17.2 in, but is this with or without the door handle. I need to know, since I want to place it on a cart the is only 15.8 deep. Thanks to anyone who can send me a brief answer.

- Answer The 17.2 inch measurement includes the door. The actual cabinet less the handle and knobs projecting outward in the front is about 15 inches. From the front of the foreward leg/foot to the back of the rear leg/foot that actually rest on the counter surface is about 11 3/4 inches.

- Answer Having had multiple different typical toasters throughout the years, as well as a handful of different toaster ovens - most of the previous toaster ovens worked as toasters, but not usually too well, and I would say did take much longer than a dedicated toaster. But this Breville oven toasts exceptionally well and is certainly a good substitute. It honestly might take slightly longer than some dedicated toasters, but it certainly does a quicker and better job than any toaster oven I've had before.

- Answer Cleaning should be accomplished regularly to avoid stains baking on repeatedly and becoming semi-permanent. The unit features a non-stick coating on the interior to help make this process relatively easy; however, over time as stains repeatedly are baked on they will become very difficult to manage. Try a paste of baking soda and water applied to the area allowed to dry and then wiped away with a damp cloth.

- Answer I don’t know of any cookbooks, but before I bought my Oven Air, I watched this video by a vlogger named Nutmeg. In the video, she shows how she air frys a whole slew of vegetables in a short period of time. Her video is one of the reasons I purchased this oven. - Answer We do not recommend installing our toaster ovens into cabinetry or mounting as they require 4 inches of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation and as they are not insulated appliances.

- Answer While the BOV845 Smart Oven Pro has the convection function, it does not have the Air Fry function. It's the BOV860 Smart Oven Air Fryer and BOV900 Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro that have the Air Fry function.

QuestionCan you spray Pam on the air fryer rack

- Answer You could spray Pam on the air fryer rack, but I imagine the heat would eventually cause a gummy oil film. We have never needed any kind of release agent with this rack because the grids are small and food releases easily. Most of the foods we air fry already have some oil in them, therefore no extra has been needed.

- Answer The term 'smart' with the Breville® Smart Oven® Air refers to the technology used to sense the required heat that a particular food choice needs and the on/off of the elements in order to obtain the perfect heating combination. It is not compatible with those programs or products used to control 'smart' appliances.

- Answer The outer housing is just over 21" wide, just under 14" deep (handle adds ~2 1/2" to the front), and ~12 1/2 inches tall. The cooking space is ~16 1/2" × 12 1/2" × 8" with grooves for the shelves about 3", 4", and 5 1/2" from the bottom of the cook space, not counting the extra clearance underneath where the drip tray pulls out like a drawer. Hope this helps.

- Answer The Smart Oven Air is most comparable to an actual conventional oven, and not a microwave. Popcorn should not be made in the toaster oven, for safety reasons of the bag coming into contact with the quartz elements.
