Q: QuestionWhat is the maximum pan size that can be used on the largest burner? The sales rep said it will shut off if the pan is too big, but he wasn’t sure on the size.

• A:Answer I'm considering this cook top because of the large burner. It says 11" and Presto has a new 12" pressure canner built for induction use. I'm wondering how effect it will be if there is just a 1/2" overhang all the way around the 11" burner? also when you bridge the two 7" burners what happens if you have a large round pot vs a an elongated pan like a griddle?

Q: QuestionDoes this appliance make a buzzing noise when being used? I have seen on YouTube where someone says it does. Was that a lemon or is it a feature of this stove top?

There are normal sounds associated with induction cooking that include buzzing, humming, and even possibly whistling. The cookware being used, amount of food being cooked and even the number of burners working at the same time can create normal sounds that fluctuate in intensity. • A:Answer Hello- Thank you for taking the time to send us your questions. The sizes of the burners we can list here -Element - Center 11" 3700W/ Element - Left Front 7" 2500W/ Element - Left Rear 7" 2500W/ Element - Right Front 8" 3200W/ Element - Right Rear 6" 1800W. A telescopic downdraft would be most appropriate for this type of cooktop unit. The countertop must have a deep flat surface to accommodate the combined installation of the cooktop and vent. Allow 12” clearance between the inlet air ports on the bottom of the unit. You can find more information on that in the installation instructions on the website searching the model number. Q: QuestionSome of these models have steel to protect the glass edges. This one does not. Can that be added to this model? Like model CHP90362TSS? Looking to repair ours, but not without some added edge protection going forward... otherwise, too much risk of damage

Q: QuestionThe specs say this cooktop does not have a bridge element but the picture of the cooktop shows lines on either side of the 2 left burners and I thought those lines meant that the 2 burners could create a bridge. Does this cooktop have a bridge element?

Q: QuestionIs there a range hood this can be paired with that will automatically power on when the induction cooktop is in use? Samsung's induction cooktops have this feature.

• A:Answer In my experience, the answer from Sylvia@Cafe is incorrect. I have the app on my phone connected to my cooktop. The only thing the app does is notify me when the cooktop is on. I can't change the temp or turn it off/on from the app. The app doesn't even let me know when the cooktop has been turned off. The cooktop is great, but the app is actually quite useless. (For reference, the app is on my Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra.)

Q: QuestionWhich burner/burners are supposed to have the fast boil feature? I tried boiling 1 qt of water using the middle, largest burner and it took over 8 minutes to start seeing little bubbles at the bottom of the pan.

• A:Answer Hello - Thanks for reaching out. The 11" induction element located in the center can boil a quart of water in 101 seconds. Please make sure that you're using the pans that are recommended for induction, that have flat bottoms and match the size of the surface element. Q: QuestionDoes it have auto turn off function when overheating?--like you forgot you are cooking and walked away, does it auto turn off?

• A:Answer Hello- We appreciate your interest in our Induction Cooktop. This is a beautiful model! It has a feature that will turn off the burner if it doesn't sense the cookware, but it won't turn off automatically if something in overheating. The feature that we are referring to is called Pan Detection Removal. When a pan is removed from the cooktop surface, Burner level turns off; Power arc starts to blink. If a pan is not detected for 25 seconds, the control turns off automatically, lights turn off. We hope this is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. We are here to help!
