Generally we do provide software to check the health status of the drive called as Crucial Storage Executive. You can use this software to check SMART data of the drive.

We would like to inform you that you can easily take a backup on X6 with out formatting it.
For Window system, you can follow below steps:
-First, connect the included USB cable into the end of the Crucial portable SSD. Plug the other end into a USB-C port on your computer. If you don’t have a USB-C port on your computer, you’ll need to use the USB-C to USB-A adapter.
-For Windows, you should be able to see and access your X6 or X8 in File Explorer. Once in File Explorer, you should see under “My Computer” that the “Crucial X6" drive is present. You can then go into your drive and move, copy, or delete files.
For iPad:
-The first step is to plug your Crucial portable SSD into your iPad Pro through the UCB-C port or through an adapter if using the Lightning® connector on pre-2018 iPad models. First, plug one end of the USB-C cable into the drive. Next, plug the other end into either the USB-C port or Lightning connector with a Lightning adapter into your iPad Pro.
-Locate and open your files app. Once opened, locate your Crucial X6 portable SSD in the sidebar and open it.
-Click on any of the files in your Crucial portable SSD you want to transfer to your iPad Pro. Next, select “Move,” then select a save destination on your iPad. Next, select “Copy.”
-Go into your files app and select your Crucial drive in the sidebar. Select the folder you want to move files to on your Crucial X6. You can then select all of the files you want moved, such as audio, video, or photos. Lastly, select “Copy” to move the files to your Crucial portable SSD.

A:AnswerYou may need to reformat the SSD. Note that when you reformat a drive it erases everything off it. To format the drive, go to the Disk Utility app on your MacBook. Select the SSD in the left-hand column, then click on "Erase". At this point you can rename the SSD and then choose a format from the drop-down menu. If you intend to use this drive exclusively on Mac devices, you should format the drive in "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)", but if you want to use the drive between Macs and PCs, you need to use the "ExFAT" format. Finally, click on "Erase". Always remember to eject your SSD before unplugging it from your computer. Not doing so could damage the SSD or the files on it. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIt will only be able to be used for PS4 games on PS5. They will benefit from faster load times with being an SSD but you will have to use an internal SSD for extra storage for PS5 games
