- Answer Battery is dead and needs to be replaced. Will no longer hold a charge so the unit is essentially a surge protector power strip now.

- Answer Yes, hold down the power button for 10 seconds or so and it’ll switch out of alert mode. For some reason it comes out of the box in this mode. I’m not a fan tbh

- Answer Dimensions are 5.8 inches high; 3.2 inches wide; 9.8 inches long. It weighs between 6-7 pounds. It has a 5 foot power cord. On the battery side I have a laptop computer doc station, a tower computer, and monitor, and a network modem/router all plugged in and everything works fine. All 8 plugs provide surge protection, but only 4 provide battery back up plus surge protection.

- Answer The simple answer is 10 to 15 minutes. But there is a lot of stuff to consider. I don't know what a typical desktop computer is anymore. Do you have an all-in-one like an iMac or do you have a computer with separate monitor? How about external USB drives or NAS drives. Is your modem/router also on the UPS? I have an iMac 27 inch (late 2015), a Synology NAS, an external USP drive for Time Machine, a powered USB hub, my ARRIS cable modern and my Linksys router all attached to my UPS. When the power goes out, I have never had a problem saving my work and doing an orderly shut down of all my equipment.

- Answer Thank you for reaching out, runtimes can vary a lot depending on a couple factors like the load on the UPS and the health of the battery. We post results of runtime testing results at https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/tools/runtimes/ where you can look up the model, in this case a SX650U, and get an estimate of what your runtime will be based on the wattage load, with a new battery.

QuestionCan I plug in my 17 in all in one laptop/computer, inkjet mobile printer, tv, wifi router, and a usb extension with a few small devices connected to it to this battery back-up? Also, can i use it immediately or wait for 8 hour charge time?

- Answer It says whatever you plug in is protected except is firmly states no plug strips, extension cords or things that generate heat should be plugged into this. I would, if you want to ensure it is going to give you max protection right off the bat, let it charge for the full 8 hours.

- Answer Hello, Auto restart will be dependent on the state of the battery when power is restored. If there is enough battery at the time power is restored, it will pass POST and power on. If there is not enough power, the unit will need to be powered on manually when the unit has enough power to turn on. Thank you for submitting your question!

- Answer Look for one that produces "sine wave" power. They cost a little more, but are needed for delicate items like musical instruments and amplifiers.

- Answer I don't know about the 920, but the 650 will give you just enough time to immediately shut down. My hubby uses the 650 on his computer.

- Answer The manufacturer recommends against using an extension cord. It will work, but could cause problems that will not be covered by any warranty.

- Answer Yes. It should for a couple of hours. This is a 360 watt UPS and the spec sheet for your modem states it draws 15 watts nominally.
