A:AnswerYes, it works in a three way set up. They say that you need 2 switches but as long as you don't manually turn off either of the switches once you set it up, 1 will work.

A:AnswerHi David, thanks for reaching out. Since this switch is a 4 wire switch it has the neutral needed to power the fan so you should be able to use this. Our 3 wire switches do not work with fans. Feel free to contact us at 1-844-302-2943 if you have any further questions. -Cync Support Team
A:AnswerThanks for reaching out Kevin. For the button style switches such as this one the light ring does light up and change colors depending on the status of the switch. If you are intending this to work with a fan switch then this switch will work as well as it has a neutral wire to power the motor in the fan. Feel free to reach out to us directly at 1-844-302-2943 if you need any assistance. -Cync Support Team

A:AnswerThanks for your questions. Three way is the term to describe 2 switches controlling one fixture. So for this switch to work in a three way switch setup you will need two. These switches do not work on fluorescent lights, and the dimming is not able to be disabled, however this switch is not a dimmer switch just a smart on and off switch. Hope that helps. If you have any further questions please reach out to us at 1-844-302-2943. -C by GE Support
A:AnswerThe on/off switch can control a ceiling fan, but it needs to be the on/off ONLY switch. Do not use the dimmer switch with a hardwired ceiling fan, it can damage the motor of the fan.
A:AnswerThe cutout is a standard size, and double, triple, or mixed face plates are available at most hardware stores. The kit only comes with a single plate.
A:AnswerNo. These must have a neutral wire. They are supposedly bringing out new switches in 2020 at some point for people with older houses that don't have the neutral wires.
A:AnswerHi YellowJacket86! All of our Smart Switches are Wifi-connected devices. However they do use Bluetooth during the initial setup so that you can sign them in to your Wifi network. - C by GE Customer Support
