Please note that you may utilize either a Windows or Apple computer to log into the mydlink website needed to access and view the DNR-202L provided your system has the following minimum requirements available: •A computer with either Microsoft Windows 7 or 8, Windows Vista 2 or XP SP 2 or a Mac with OS 10.5 or above. •You should have a PC with at least a Pentium 4 – 2.4 GHz or above; and have at least 512MB of RAM. •You should be using a web browser with Internet Explorer 7 or above, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari 4 or above. • And an Existing 10/100 Ethernet-based network. - Answer It records from DLink IP cameras already on your network. They do not connect physically to the recorder.

QuestionWill this D-link NVR work with Foscam video cameras? Can you access the camera's surveillance on the internet without the D-Link?I purchased the Foscam security camera from Best Buy last year but didn't know I needed something to record on. I would like to get the camera running properly. I was able to view the surveillance on-line from home, but when I went out of state and tried to log into the website, it wasn't available, so it didn't help me at all. Will this D-link work with the Foscam? Will I be able to view the surveillance on the web with it? Thank you!!

- Answer you have to set it up for outside access you need to open the ports on ur router so u can access the cameras if you call customer service they will guide u through it

- Answer you have to make sure the connection between the two are the same make sure your camera has the same connection as the nvr

QuestionIs a camera part of this unit or do I have to buy that seperately?I realize additional cameras can be purchased and used with this unit, but is there already one as part of this unit or is it only the means to record several cameras in one place? - Answer There may be bundles out there...as I have seen them. However, at the current time the NVR is sold separately (see it range from $75-$100) and you would have to buy up to 4 cameras to connect to y our NVR
