Dell offers two monitors for this laptop, the HD, and FHD. This unit has the HD screen, which is like a 720p TV, so it is HD. The FHD option is like a 1,080p TV screen, which is much more defined. Is it a nice image, yes. Is it the best you can buy, no. Hence the lower price. Still, unless you are doing a lot of picture or video editing, or gaming, it should be good enough for most people.
