• A:Answer Hello Akaura0416. Good question. The first step is to assign your AVR-S970H's amplification. This is done in the Amp Assign settings page in the On Screen Menu. If your Atmos speakers are in the ceiling, you can select from Top Front or Top Middle. If you have Atmos speakers high on the front wall, you can select Front Height. Here's how to navigate your On Screen Settings Menu to get to this page: Connections > Connecting Speakers > Speaker Configuration And Amp Assign Settings. • A:Answer Hello Fab. If you have a source which offers Youtube and has an HDMI output, the AVR-S970H can support the feed. If you have an audio-only requirement with Youtube (for listening to music or an audiobook for example), then you can stream from your mobile device or computer to the AVR-S970H's Bluetooth receiver.

Q: QuestionWill Zone 2 audio output work with OPTICAL audio input from the TV? My old Onkyo TX-SR603X doesn't accept optical inputs for Zone 2 speakers, so I have to run TV audio through a DAC which is cumbersome. Hope to avoid that with a new receiver.

• A:Answer Hello TonyS, Yes, the Denon AVR-S970H can output audio from the optical input to Zone 2 while simultaneously using the same HDMI signal in the main zone. If you want to listen to a different source in Zone 2 while having HDMI audio in the main zone, you can only choose from the HEOS, Tuner, USB, or analog inputs for Zone 2. In contrast, the X series receivers can output optical audio in either scenario. Please note that only PCM 2-channel signals will output to Zone 2 in this situation. Regards,  Denon

Yes - the AVR-S970H has a HEOS engine on board which allows you to stream wirelessly from your Android device (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth), your iPhone (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth), and from your PC (Bluetooth - if your PC has a Bluetooth transmitter. A Bluetooth dongle can be added if it doesn't). Once you have downloaded the free HEOS app to your mobile device, you will have all your wireless streaming options at hand, as well as access to many popular streaming services.

Q: QuestionGot a new Samsung TV a month ago how do I hook up surround sound if my tv don’t have optical. Does the Bluetooth connect the tv and this receiver together? I use to connect my cable box to my old receiver but don’t have cable anymore.

• A:Answer Hello. The recommended way to connect a new Samsung TV to the AVR-S970H is to purchase an optional HDMI cable. The HDMI cable will connect to the Samsung TV's e/ARC port and to the AVR-S970H's e/ARC port on the rear panel. This will allow for the audio from to the TV to be fed to your AVR-S970H when you select the AVR-S970H's input labeled 'TV'. It is also a good idea to check your TV's audio settings to make sure the Digital Audio Output is set to either 'Auto' or 'Bitstream'.

Q: QuestionI want to connect 8 speakers total. 2 8ohm speakers connected in parallel in front Right. 2 8ohm speakers on front left. Also connect 2 8ohm speakers on rear right and 2 8ohm speakers on rear left. Can this receiver handle that?

• A:Answer Yes, either connection will work. If the Roku device is connected to the TV, you should connect the Denon AVR-S970H via HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel). The alternative option is to connect the Roku directly to the receiver and then use an HDMI cable to connect the receiver to the TV. In either scenario, using the HDMI ARC connection is recommended. However, if your TV does not support ARC, then the second option is the better choice.

• A:Answer Hello. The AVR-S970H is a very capable AV receiver and is therefore probably a good candidate for fitting nicely into your set-up if your Samsung TV has HDMI inputs. Without specific model numbers of your TV and your speakers, it is not possible to be completely conclusive. If in doubt, a Best Buy employee who specializes in Home Theater should be able to answer your questions.

Q: QuestionI purchased the AVR-S760H to replace my Onkyo that was having issues with the surround and Subwoofer. Unfortunately, S760H cannot send the audio output to both the TV and the AVR and to my Hearlink hearing aids is this possible on S970H?
