QuestionI purchased this vacuum two years ago and was pleased with how it easily went from vacuuming my hardwood to vacuuming my 30 year old carpet. However, I just purchased new carpet and new Karastan rugs and the vacuum will not budge. What do you recommend.

- Answer I'm not sure what Karistan is like, but we have medium pile carpet and it works great. It does take a little more muscle than on floors or shorter pile, but it's got a great suction and is easy to empty and clean. Love it!

QuestionCan you use this vacuum on long shag rugs?

- Answer It's got a very powerful suction, so recommend on wall to wall or large rugs, not on small rugs. I think shag might get sucked into the vacuum. You have 15 days to return if it doesn't work.

- Answer If it’s not emptied or the filter needs rinsing the vacuum may not turn on. There are two filters . I would not rinse the 2nd filter as it takes time to dry but would try to empty the regular filter and try again
