QuestionIm only getting about 10 min on the max suction. is this normal?

- Answer It depends on what surface you are vaccuming. If you vacuum carpet or a rug that has a deeper pile, you won't get as much battery time as if you're doing a hard surface floor. I haven't timed mine, but I'd guess on the maximum suction I probably get 15-20 minutes, maybe 25 when I'm doing my hardwood floor. On carpet, it takes more energy to run the motor so it won't last quite as long.

- Answer There is not much different. Animal pro comes with little different in brush on main road. And road is also golden instead of regular iron road. On power comparison both have same motor.

QuestionI wondered if you have a cordless vacuum that does not have the trigger that needs to be held down when in use. Do you have any with an off and on button, as my hands and fingers get sore pushing the button down while in use, ( arthritis) Thank you!

- Answer The switch is very, vert easy to pull. Simply holding the unit is all pressure that is needed. My wife has advanced RA and has no problems!

QuestionI currently have a Dyson V6 and dust and lint etc tends to accumulate in the upper part of the collection chamber, around the motor unit, making it very hard to remove. Is the design of the V10 sufficiently different to prevent that?

- Answer The Dyson V10 drops down the bottom trap door for emptying AND THEN you push a red button and the dirt container comes completely off making it SUPER easy to clean! It is amazing! Are you sure your V6 doesn't do that also?

QuestionDoes the charger work with v110 in EU countries ?

- Answer Hello AOM, this is Kelly with Dyson. A few of our machines use dual voltage transformers making them compatible across a range of voltages. This is why the chargers on the cordless state they will work on 110-240 voltage. However, it's still advisable not to use outside the country of purchase. One of the reasons for advising against the use of machine outside of the country that they are sold in is that the machines are tested and certified to meet that countries regulations and requirements. For example a US machine is tested and certified to UL, ETL and FCC regulations to ensure that it is fit for retail. In the UK this would be BEAB, BS, IEC and CE, Canada CSA and so on. Each country has its own rules and regulations. We do not guarantee that a machine used outside of the country it is sold in meets all of the requirements of the second country. - Answer Hi Bob, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal has a battery that is held in place with small screws. While the battery can be removed and replaced if necessary, this model was not designed to have the battery swapped out on a regular basis. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionI tried vacuuming my living room Rut with this one and it is a bit heavy. Is this model not recommended for carpet? My whole house is tile but we have a 8x10 rug that needs to be vacuumed daily. We also don’t have any animals

- Answer This vac is made for a multitude of surfaces including carpet. Check the power setting, in my experience most surfaces only need the lowest power setting and works best on the lowest setting.

QuestionI used it about 4 times, then the motorhead on Max was going off and on. I cleaned out the dustbin looked for other trash in all parts. Washed the filter and hope that tomorrow when put back together it will work with no problems. Any other suggestions?

- Answer There is a warning light that tells you if the air passageway is clogged. Is it on? To unclog, move the canister down to empty the contents, then while in the down position there is a channel or opening for the air to exit the vac through the filter. Make sure there is nothing obstructing the opening. You can get dirt and hair to clog the opening if you overfill the canister.

QuestionHI, Had a Dyson V8 that I loved, until the battery stopped holding a charge after < 3 years. Now considering another Dyson-what is the proper care for the battery? Always keep it plugged into the charger when not in use? Is that bad for the battery?

- Answer From what I have read when trying to decide what vacuum to purchase, the new technology out there allows you to keep the battery connected to the charger (seeing how the vacuum's holder has the adapter permanently attached to it). Granted I have had my Dyson V10 animal vacuum for only a week, but if they could create a such a fantastic device, they probably have created a better battery.
