Q: QuestionI live very close to a US Highway with serious traffic from semi's and cars/trucks. I am concerned about this pollution. We are right at the entrance to a small city too so we hear jake brakes alot. Will this unit help in a bedroom?

Q: QuestionMy home is 900 sq feet, apt in NYC. I have two of these running, how well does it protect against the canadian wildfire smoke we're getting here (windows are closed of course), but outside the pollution index is reahing up to 400+ during the day. Scary.

Q: QuestionThe description says it cools when you want to and purifies when you want to. How can you choose which setting between the two if the only option is to turn on the dyson and run the fan (assuming it’ll always cool and purify)?

• A:Answer When I used it, there was never a setting to cool. Always ran on purification and “cooling”. Don’t except this Dyson to cool a room. It’s honestly just a fan with air purification built in.

• A:Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Using the TP01 around toddlers (or even pets) is safe. There is a built-in safety feature, where if knocked or tipped over, the machine will shut off. Also, as there are no blades, it's a much safer alternative with little ones around. If you're wanting to purify the air in your whole home, you may desire to purchase more than one unit. • A:Answer I grilled my Asian Chicken inside my small apartment and smoked my kitchen out. I walked through the dining room into the living room to open the sliding door when it hit me...there wasn't any smoke in the living room. Not only that, but it didn't smell of burnt chicken. I stood there in awe and looked at my Dyson-and thought how awesome it was. I keep my Dyson at number 5, which is right in the middle. It worked better than I could have imaged and I would be willing to bet it could work for you. The Dyson is geared for one large room, so be patient. Best Buy also has a 15 day return policy with no charges, so if it doesn't work for you-take it back. Good luck.

Q: QuestionIf I connect this product to a smart outlet, can i turn this fan on and off through the control of the outlet? Since this model does not support wifi or dyson app, i am considering controlling the unit in an alternative way.

Q: QuestionTP04 Pure Cool Tower - After changing the filters (1st time), I followed the advice (4 repeats) given to others in this forum to have the filter function display changed back to indicating "normal" filtering function but no success. What else can I try?

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. Q: QuestionWhat are the CFM's on the TP01 and the TP04? I like a lot of air movement, and would hate to spend the money on the TP01 only to find out that it doesn't move enough air for my liking.

• A:Answer Hello Michelle, this is Kelly with Dyson. The TP01 Pure Cool Tower is unlike an AC unit that is designed to chill the air. The Pure Cool Tower is a bladeless fan, and while the air temperature does not change, the air flow cools the user. This machine has airflow speed settings from 1-10, and increasing the speed focuses more air to be expelled from the machine. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan.
