QuestionAm I correct in believing that this Eero product does not support and work with Apple HomeKit? The statement made by Eero is confusing, especially after previously working with other Eero routers.

- Answer HomeKit is a completely different technology and use case from what Eero does. It’s NOT a home hub of any kind. Because it’s owned by Amazon, there is some compatibility with their products and linkages, but other devices not so much, despite what their advertising states. I use HomeBridge on my NAS that supports just about everything, including HomeKit.

QuestionAre eeros compatible with any Wi-Fi carrier?

- Answer It's my understanding that all broadband wi-fi is pretty much the same. The modem may need to be compatible with the carrier's system, but from there any router should be able to produce the wi-fi for the house. If there is a concern you can ask anyone at Best Buy.

- Answer There are two cat connectors on the back of all of the units. They are all the same, since none of them was designated to serve as the connector to the modem.

- Answer Not sure I understand what you mean by 'all of my Spectrum equipment'. I have Spectrum internet and all equipment is provided by them. No point in getting your own modem because their modem comes with the package. Their once was a rental fee to use a Spectrum modem so you could save a little by buying your own.

- Answer You just need a modem for this to work, the eero basically replaces your router.

- Answer Best placement will be open area at the higher point I just replaced my AirPort Extreme AC and I’m really happy ( my average speed was 300 mb, now is 900 mb) One unit covered entire house (2000 square feet) I’m using XFINITY and my own modem ( Motorola 7621) And using Ethernet cable that is at least class 6 would help

- Answer Eero is basically the router in the equation. You don’t need a separate router for this. Just a modem.

- Answer YES and NO. You may also need Ring Chime Pro units to better assist the camera signal strength. We have both and think it was worth the extra cost.

QuestionI have several cameras attached to my current wifi system. Will I have to reset my cameras to the eeros system? It’s a tiresome process to reset all of my cameras and I’m wanting to avoid this while improving the signal around the property.

- Answer You do not have to reset your cameras because this system simply amplifies and extends your existing wifi.

- Answer Hello eeoBAD, we know how frustrating this is. Temporarily pausing the 5 GHz band may help you get your Sync Module setup. Devices that only operate on the 2.4 GHz band may need an extra step to get them up and running. You can use the eero app to temporarily hide the 5 GHz band while you get your 2.4 GHz devices connected. Open the eero app and tap “Settings” at the bottom of the home screen. Tap “troubleshooting” towards the bottom of the settings screen. Tap ”My device won’t connect.” Tap “Temporarily pause 5 GHz. This will pause the 5 GHz band for 15 minutes while you get your 2.4 GHz devices setup. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, please reach out directly to eero customer support at (877) 659-2347. QuestionAs I understand it, I need to run Cat5e from the my ISP model to eero#1, then Cat5 from eero#1 to eero#2. Does the eero 6+ support POE in this configuration?

- Answer An ethernet cable is connected to your primary gateway Eero from your ISP modem and then any additional Eero’s can connect wirelessly to each other and/or connect to each other with an ethernet cable if desired as well. In my example shown I have two connected over Cat6 and one over wireless along with an Echo 4th Gen over wireless too.

- Answer You can just plug the ethernet cable directly from your current modem router combo to this eero and set it up. Make sure you will still able to connect your current modem router combo. You need to remove that SSID from all the devices you have and add new eeto wifi so all traffic will go through eero to modem/router combo.
