Questionhow do I connect it to my Mac ?:

- Answer It was quite a difficult process but all Mac users must go line to download software. This should be a relatively easy procedure but every time I logged into the web site using their suggested address, I got a different screen and had to hunt and peck to get where I wanted to go. This was a frustrating process and getting help on line was not available on weekends. They also were slow to respond when I did email on the help line and no live chats were available. This should be an easy process taking a few minutes but was anything but. After I finally downloaded the software, I had a lot of difficulty with the printer talking to my Mac. It was a wireless setup but I could only print with my tablets and laptop, not the desktop Mac. It took many hour of adjusting settings with trial and error and then I would return and have to reset again! I finally have it set up but do not have confidence that there will not be future problems. Print quality is good and I like the size. I wish Mac would make printers!!! Radrn

QuestionThis Epson - Expression XP-7100 STATES "WIRLESS" ... My question is this.. Can it be used to print with a USB cable connection also?

- Answer Hi Richard, Yes, you can also print from your computer to the XP-7100 using a standard USB cable. It requires a USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B cable. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.

QuestionI print of lot of Hallmark cards using Avery half-fold paper. Does the stock paper work okay on this printer and does the stock paper have to be fed from the back like the Epson XP-830, or can it be fed through the front? Thank you for your response.

- Answer Hi Nano12, The XP-7100 is similar to the XP-830 in feed capabilities. Any paper that is heavier than 24 lbs. should be fed through the rear feed slot. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.

QuestionCan you use legal size paper? Can you scan in both pdf and jpg?

- Answer Yes, you can print legal paper. However you need to change the paper size in the information screen and adjust the paper tray for the 14 inch length. Yes, you can scan pdf, I don’t believe it scans as jpg. You can scan photos, but they will be saved as a pdf or document.

QuestionMy printer keeps smearing black ink on my envelopes and card stock. I've changed out the cartridges and ran all the maintenance for cleaning. Is there anything else that will fix this problem? It's only a couple of years old.

- Answer There is a small piece of foam on the right side when you open it up to change the ink cartridges. The printer cleans its nozzles on this sponge and it fills up with ink. Then the ink gets on the print head and smears on whatever you're printing. Clean the foam and you will be OK for a while.

QuestionCan you place more than one 4 X 6 photo on the scan glass at the same time, & will it then scan each as a separate jpg file? If so, can you also preview each as a thumbnail & rotate if needed. My Epson XP-830 does this.

- Answer Hello Ron. The XP-7100 is an All-In-One printer that includes print, copy, and scan features, but unfortunately, it does not have fax functionality. The printer measures 13.3" deep when it is not in use and 23.5" when printing. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
