Only one person can use an account. When you create a Fitbit account you’re asked for personal information, such as height and weight, so that certain data is calculated correctly. For example, your height determines your distance measurement. Setting up unique accounts ensures that each person’s dashboard provides an accurate picture of daily activity. With that said, you can set up a new account for your mother, each user needs a separate Fitbit account/email. However, you will need to keep logging out of one account, and then into the other. It can be done - but it's much easier if you have another device you can use for one of the trackers, like an iPad.
