A:AnswerHello, Jdm1234! Portable air conditioners use a standard window venting kit to expel exhaust, similar to a clothes dryer venting system. Most portable units have water reservoirs that help dehumidify the room. These reservoirs need to be emptied periodically, although some come with optional hookups for a drainage hose. I hope you find this information helpful.. ~ Sam
A:AnswerNot that I have been able to get to work correctly. There is a timer but it dosen't shut off after the time has run its course. If you set the temp it just continues to run. I turn the machine on and off as needed.
A:AnswerGood day, HotinNj! Crank windows, technically called casement windows, can make it a little tricky to vent a portable air conditioner. It is possible to do it. ~Lauren
A:AnswerYes, the air hose must be vented, but the unit does not need a water hose condensation line, the unit evaporates the condensation when set on cool mode.
A:AnswerIn my experience it’s a very slight difference, I have a thermostat to see the temp in my room and if I have the unit set to 70 and the compressor is off if it even hits 71 it’ll turn back on. It’s very sensitive.
A:AnswerThe instructions say to cut it to fit your window, if you don’t need to cut it also comes with a sort of extender that just needs to be screwed on as to not have it slide out.
A:AnswerThank you for sharing your experience, Valued Consumer! Water is not needed for the appliance to cool properly. For the best cooling results, ensure that the room is completely enclosed and insulated. Also, the room is the correct size for the product to work efficiently.
