A:Answer As the original poster of this question, I’m still confused. We had originally scheduled geek squad to install the air conditioner on July 2, but on the morning of, they called and said that we needed an additional exterior support bracket and it was out of stock. They gave us the part number and we went online and ordered it, despite being unsure if we needed it. It was not out of stock online, and we received the bracket two days later.
Tomorrow we’re scheduled to have the unit installed, but now we feel like we wasted time and money on a bracket we don’t need.
