QuestionI want to install this in my kitchen / living room area. They are separated by a half wall with an island top. Each room is under 300 sq ft. I have 11 foot ceilings. Each room has a ceiling fan. Is this unit large enough for the cubic feet involved?

- Answer Hello, Jim1590. Thank you for your inquiry. In reviewing the capacity chart for our air conditioners, it does appear for your room’s square footage we recommend a 12,000 BTU model. The 15,000 BTU models typically work more efficiently in 850 sq. ft. rooms or larger. Feel free to reconnect with any additional questions about our home comfort appliances. - Answer I have this mounted in a wall and it works great. My wall is made of 2x4 studs. If you need to you can add two closet shelf knee brackets outside. They work very well.

QuestionAC doesn't seem 2 B cooling off my room. I used pre-programmed settings: ECO, 72 & Auto fan. I read the manual & understand the cool air will run & the auto fan will kick in for 90 seconds. Is this after the room reaches 72 degrees? and what does E8 mean?

- Answer Portable units do not work nearly as good as wall or window units. I run a 12000 btu unit in a 400 sq ft room and it barely cools the room down.

Questionpurchased modelffpa1422ui portable upon installation plastic window housing continually fell out of plastic window spacer supplied. i had to fabricate a brk. myself to hold it in place.now hose comes out of housing and had to tape it any other solutions
