Q: QuestionI don't want to use my cig plug because its in the center console and would look terrible and wire would always be in the way. Can I have this hard wired? and does Best Buy do the install?

Q: QuestionCan the ball mount be removed from the camera to use on a suction cup? reason I ask is for use in swapping vehicle. Example- Cant very well place a metal tab on the windshield of a rental car while on vacation.

• A:Answer Yes ! I have it in my 387 Pete and works very well. The windshield mount sticks to the glass and the magnet holds the camera tight . It is easy to remove if needed and put back up thanks to the magnet. Strongly suggest getting the warranty just in case the camera fails. Best Buy stands behind it with no questions asked. Takes great video and easy to set up. Also like the fact that it will use the larger sim cards.

• A:Answer All you need is a Micro SD to SD adapter, or a Micro SD to USB adapter. Plug it in and it will show up as a drive letter, usually E. Browse through the sub-folders and you'll find your videos with the time and date they were recorded. I use Windows Media Player, but other apps will work. You can also view the videos on a modern TV. You'll be amazed at the excellent resolution.

• A:Answer Honestly, the dash cam does not hold up well in the heat. There were multiple times I would put it in the glove box, because it is not meant to be used in high temperatures. These Garmin dash cams are not durable, I would look at other options mine was toast after 6 months.
