Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. • A:Answer Hello KB - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Your microwave should be installed 66" or more from the floor to the top of the microwave oven. This will allow a minimum of 30" between the bottom of the upper cabinet and your stovetop. The bottom edge of the cabinet needs to be 30" or more from the cooking surface. We hope this helps! Q: QuestionI just purchased this microwave and it is extremely loud when operating. I've never heard a microwave make such a noise. Is this normal for this model or should i contact the mfg.?

• A:Answer Remove the exhaust hood, make sure the exhaust system isnt restricted. While mine was running it was producing almost 80dB! removing my exhaust reduced it almost to a whisper (Something in the exhaust hood was pinning the flap if using external venting). When the exhaust is restricted it runs very loud, if the exhaust is restricted the fan speed increases. Wish their manuals was mor.e descriptive than saying noise while running is normal
