QuestionI have a narrow doorway and would like to know the height of the freezer without the lid.

- Answer Height of the freezer to top of chest with lid open is 31 3/16 inches. Front to back without hinge is 25 3/4 inches, with hinge 26 7/8 inches.

QuestionIs the case 'solid', in that there is cover over the interior parts (back as well as front and sides? A smaller model, a customer said it came with a big opening, and I want to put this in my garage, and I don't want to provide a habitat for critters

QuestionMy desert garage gets very hot during the summer, we plan to insulate the garage, is that enough to keep the freezer working correctly? Or should we build an insulated box//room with air conditioning in the garage for the GE 15.7 cu ft freezer?

- Answer Additional air conditioning would be excessive. This unit is designed for garage use. Insulating the garage itself should be adequate.
