QuestionI need an upright freezer delivered to my basement. The door will need to be taken off to get it there. Will the delivery people take the door off to move through the openings to the basement? Then reinstall the door? The model is GE FUF17DLRWW.

- Answer I think this question needs to be asked of your local Best Buy staff where you will be buying the freezer. It may well be that they can include removal and replacement of the door in their delivery and it also may cost an additional amount. It will not hurt to ask, again, at the Best Buy you will be purchasing this at. All the best!

It also has adjustable leveling legs at the front corners that can be used to raise or lower the unit. QuestionWhy do all the GE "garage ready" upright, frost freezers of at least 17 cu ft(all we are looking at), open from the left side? We want to use the freezer INSIDE , but only a right hand opening door will work in our smallish utility room.

Our upright freezers do specifically have the handle on the left and hinge on the right, so they open from the left side; at this time, the door swing cannot be reversed on an upright freezer.
