  • QuestionHow do I make the water dispenser work? We moved into a new house with this fridge and it came with no manual.

    Asked by Cres.

    • Answer Hi Cres - Congratulations on your new home! Here's the link to the Owner's Manual for your refrigerator: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-2.PDF - Be sure the water filter or bypass plug is installed. The dispenser and the icemaker will not operate without the filter or filter bypass plug (See pages 10- 11). Verify that the water line to the refrigerator is turned on. The saddle valve is used to connect the water supply line to the house plumbing and must be fully open for the refrigerator to receive water. Make sure the cradle has been held down 2-3 minutes to allow the reservoir to fill completely. Once water is dispensed, purge air from the lines by dispensing water for 5 minutes or 2 gallons. • QuestionIs this true Stainless Steel? Or faux Stainless Steel, thus magnets stick to this fridge.

    Asked by Fertacrit.

    • Answer Hi Fertacrit - Slate is a highly engineered, low-gloss matte metallic paint finish and will hold a magnet (not stainless steel). Slate appliances blend with today's premium kitchen materials. The rich matte appearance naturally hides fingerprints and smudges to maintain its beauty.
