• A:Answer Liquid bleach will need to be added to the compartment located on the front left side of the washer when the lid is opened. Fabric softener will need to be added to the middle of the agitator, and we recommend adding the detergent to the top of the clothing once fully loaded.

• A:Answer The power cord is not provided with the appliance. You'll need to separately purchase a UL rated 120/240V, 30A cord with 3 or 4 prongs. Identify the plug type as per the house receptacle before purchasing line cord.

Q: QuestionHI, I have 71 inches clearance height in the frame of the closet, which is where I plan to install the unit. Inside the close I have enough height, but I wonder if the 71 inches height will be a problem trying to open the door of the drier.

• A:Answer This model has a total height of about 75 7/8". Based on your space, 71" of clearance in your closet’s frame will not fit. For reference, we recommend at least 1 inch of clearance on top and 3 inches in the front for door swing.

• A:Answer The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. To calculate the average water used for a wash cycle, multiply Water Factor x Capacity. The Water Factor (WF) for this model is 6.5 and the capacity is 3.8. This equals 24.7 gallons of water on average will be used per cycle. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionIs the lid on the washer suppose to be magnetic? Mine is not and easily falls down when putting in or taking clothes out. When I was looking at them in the store I remember that the lid was magnetic. Has this feature change?
