• A:Answer The diagram showing all of the dimensions needed to properly install this downdraft vent system is available online for your convenience. Click on the Features tab and scroll to the bottom to find the link to the Installation Guide. This literature is also available on our GE Appliances site when searching using the model number of the vent system.

Q: QuestionWe need to replace our current 30 inch JVB37 unit. Is this system compatible to switch out?

• A:Answer Hi there - thank you for connecting with us. We're glad to help you find a compatible replacement! One of the most important pieces to consider when finding a replacement for a telescopic downdraft system is the cutout measurements. When comparing this model (UVD6301SPSS) to your previous model (JVB37H or JVB37A), it looks as though the cutout width and the height below the countertop are the same. Review pages 9 through 11 of the installation instructions for more detailed information and diagrams regarding the installation preparation: https://files.bbystatic.com/1HsCGH3M0oInsp0HFgG3rQ%3D%3D/User%2BManual. As long as the installation requirements for the new model are met, then it will be a nice replacement of your current system. We hope this is insightful! Q: QuestionIs this downdraft compatible with the 30 inch GE Profile induction cooktop top with the number PHP9030SJSS? How many inches are required between the top of the cooktop and the cabinet wall to accommodate the downdraft?
