Q: QuestionNew GE dryer- cannot open door, why?

• A:Answer If you have not already done so, we recommend disconnecting power to your dryer at your circuit breaker box for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics, if the issue persists once power is restored, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty by contacting our GE Appliances service team - Bodewell at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your dryer evaluated and repaired as needed. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionCan I successfully dry my king size bedding in this without having to take it our, refluff it and omstart it over numerous times?

• A:Answer We recommend using wool dryer balls to help prevent clumping or tangling. This is a large dryer with 7.8 cubic ft. It can hold a king size comforter.

Q: QuestionDo I have to use the steam dryer function which requires a water source?

• A:Answer To produce steam, the dryer must connect to the cold water supply. Since the washer must also connect to the cold water, a “Y” connector is inserted to allow both inlet hoses to make that connection at the same time. -Don@GEAppliances

Q: QuestionHow much clearance is needed between back of dryer and wall?

• A:Answer When the exhaust duct is located at the rear of the dryer, you may need 4-6 inches behind the dryer for ventilation. This model doesn't have any restrictions. 0 inches at the top, front, sides and rear. (For improved performance, a 1/2” clearance is suggested on each side.) Thanks for checking with us. • A:Answer 220! GE does make a 120v all in one unit which I attempted to buy but it couldn’t be bright up my tight staircase. But this dryer requires 220v!
