A:Answer When convection baking, it is normal to reduce the temperature by 25°F. Your lovely range can do this automatically. Press the Settings pad and follow the instructions for "Auto Conversion" to determine if this feature is turned on or off. If turned On, the oven is automatically converting the temperature for you. This is normal. If turned Off, we would normally recommend you input a temperature 25° lower than the recipe lists. That said, this may be an indication that the oven temperature is not accurate. The oven interior temperature will change throughout the cooking cycle as the elements cycle on and off. Opening the oven door will allow heat to escape and may affect the temperature reading as well. We'd recommend judging the accuracy of the oven temperature based on the foods you're cooking. If you feel the oven is not performing properly based on the finished food item, we recommend calling Bodewell, our authorized service team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your range evaluated and repaired as needed. If you don't have the Owner's Manual available, it can be found online and we're confident you will find it helpful.
