A:AnswerI also did this as well. I highly recommend having a professional certified plumber to put in another set of washer connections as for when the machines are draining simultaneously there will be a very high volume of discharge and you could run into back up/flooding issues if your drain line is not adequate to handle the large volume. Also each machine requires a separate dedicated 20 amp circuit. I also recommend a certified professional electrician to make sure you have a 20 amp circuit for each machine to be able to operate simultaneously.
A:AnswerHi there - Thank you for taking the time to reach out. This unit is electric and does not require gas. We hope this information is helpful. We appreciate you considering our lovely GE Profile All in One Washer/Dryer Combo. Feel free to contact us on social media if you have additional questions. Take care! -Don@GEA
A:AnswerHi - Thank you so much for your interest in our wonderful Profile Washer/Dryer Combo unit. We are very excited to introduce this new model to our consumers as it is an innovative, well-thought-out machine. The sound level of the Combo during the wash cycle is comparable to any of our other frontload washers. That said, It is important that the unit be properly installed ensuring it is level and that the shipping bolts have been removed. In drying, the unit is quieter than standard dryers since the drum is insulated and there is no external venting. We hope you find this helpful and that you choose this great product for you and your family. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerThere is an available 7 inch "Riser" item GFR0728PTDS. It cost a bit over $200.00. It does not come with the washer/dryer and it does not include a drawer that most pedestals have. It simply raises the washer 7 or so inches higher. I doubt that your LG pedestal will work unless it has the same exact footprint and mounting hardware as the GE. Any platform can be modified to work(if your a good engineer) but would probably void any manufacturer or Best Buy warranty and may create a safety issue.
A:AnswerIf you are looking for rebates from Best Buy, we recommend contacting them directly for the best assistance. They can be reached at 1-888-237-8289.
A:AnswerDo you clean the filter before each use?? There are 2 parts to the filter that require cleaning. The silk( nylon) filter and the foam filter is attached behind the silk - nylon filter
A:AnswerI would say about as well as any other washer unless there are some that have some sort of water softener incorporated - if calcification and minerals in the water is the concern.
A:AnswerYes, you can supply the Ultrafast combo unit with only the cold water hose connected. You should cap the hot water port on the Combo with either a valve cap or by hooking a hose to the other faucet but not turning that faucet on to prevent any minor dripping of water out of the back of the unit.
A:AnswerWe could not get ours to ANYTHING at all till we scanned the QR code, download the app, and go online. Then the machine downloaded the latest version of software. Then finally went to the next screen and let us proceed to setup and wash clothes.
A:AnswerYes! Especially when you connect the machine on your Wi-Fi through the app on a smart phone/mobile rated device such as a tablet or iPad. When you connect the machine you are opened to a wide range of options and notifications such as when the machine needs to be cleaned, when the detergent or fabric softener reservoirs are low, you can do custom programming for wash/dry cycles, and much more.
A:AnswerHi! The Combo does not have a PreSoak feature or cycle. There's a PreWash option which is an extra wash before the main wash. You can use that for heavily soiled clothes or for clothes with a care label that recommends prewashing before washing. Hope this is helpful! -Michael@Profile
A:AnswerHi - We appreciate you reaching out to us. The 7" riser is approved for installation with our amazing Profile UltraFast Combo. We do not however, offer a pedestal approved for use with this unit. We hope you choose this innovative product for your home. Laundry day will change forever! Kind regards - Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHi there - that’s a great question! If the combo is running, pressing Pause once will pause the cycle and unlock the door. It may take a few seconds for the door to unlock after pressing 'Pause'. You can simply press again to restart the cycle. -- Between the wash and dry cycles, the Combo has a "Wash Complete" feature that can be utilized through the SmartHQ app. An audible alert will sound when the wash portion of the cycle is complete and before proceeding to dry. This feature provides you the opportunity to check on the load, remove certain items, or add a dryer sheet before the drying portion of the cycle commences. We hope this helps in your decision making! All the best. Lauren@GEA
