- Answer With wonky workarounds, it may be compatible with the Apple Home kit. But because it’s designed to be tightly tied to the Google ecosystem, it’s really Google or bust.

- Answer Hi there, thanks for your question. No, the Nest Thermostat (2020) has two AAA alkaline batteries as a backup power source but it can be hardwired as well. You can check the battery level on the thermostat in the Google Home app.

- Answer Yes it does, i had to put in a transformer for one of my setups because it was two wire. There are kits tobfake the cwire and they work if yiu have four wire
